TD – Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Form for Mortgages

What Is a TD PAD Form?

If you bank with TD Canada Trust, your lender may request a Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) form to authorize automatic mortgage payments.

This allows your mortgage payments to be withdrawn directly from your TD account on a regular schedule.

Why TD Requires a PAD Form

TD PAD forms are used to:

  • Set up automated mortgage payments
  • Reduce missed or late payments
  • Confirm banking details before funding

PAD authorization is typically required before mortgage funding.

What’s Included on a TD PAD Form?

A TD PAD form usually includes:

  • Account holder name
  • TD transit, institution, and account numbers
  • Debit authorization
  • Payment frequency
  • Signature

Some lenders may also request a TD void cheque or Direct Deposit form.

How to Get a TD PAD Form

  • Download banking details from TD EasyWeb
  • Visit a TD branch
  • Request a pre-authorized debit form from TD staff
